Cosmetics

The cosmetic industry is spending a lot of effort, in terms of research, to the substances most used in cosmetics, in order to allow the European Commission Committee to assess their safety.

Research in the cosmetic field is also aimed at improving products in three aspects:

  • improve the qualitative aspect of the products;
  • safety, to protect the consumer;
  • effectiveness, to meet the consumer’s expectations.

Biopox promotes the research for new raw materials for the preparation of cosmetics to enhance their performance while increasing the level of safety.

Biopox is also engaged in the development of new formulations.

A new approach in cosmetic dyeing has recently been studied up to the creation of a method for coloring hair through the in situ formation of pigments obtained by oxidation reactions conducted by enzymatic catalysts, without the use of hydrogen peroxide and especially ammonia.

Biopox has an ongoing research and innovation collaboration with BSL Cosmetics for the development of anti-aging cleansers and serums against natural skin aging.
